The Wedding Party!

As you may recall, I mentioned in my last post that Lauren and I aren’t the most traditional couple out there. In keeping with that trend, we have decided that a traditional wedding party wouldn’t be for us so we decided to simplify. To that end, we only have six individuals in the party…and all of them are guys.

This decision wasn’t due to the fact that we don’t have any close friends of the feminine persuasion, in fact it’s quite the opposite and every one of them is set to attend. The reason we went this way is for simplicity and family. Lauren is finally getting the brothers she’s been wanting her entire life and the wedding party showcases this. The best part is that none of our woman friends has to waste cash on dresses they probably would never wear again.

With that being said, lets get to the reason why I’m posting. Below are the four guys who make up the extended wedding party. Many you may already know of but some may surprise you! (not really)

Best Man: Braydon Finecy

Braydon is my Best Man and my best little brother. I’ve known him my entire life for the good days and the days he likes to dress up like Bret Michaels. Growing up, he way the annoying guy hanging around me and my friends but now he’s literally my neighbor in Omaha. Braydon and I are luckily enough to be able to do a wide variety of things together from me beating up on him in tennis, playing Xbox and various board games to simply hanging out, watching Frasier and shooting the breeze. I’ve never met someone who is as animated and full of life as Braydon is and couldn’t be happier that he will be at my side on my wedding day.

Man of Honor: Kyle Finecy

Kyle

One may say, “What is a man of honor?” and I would say, “Kyle! He’s a Man of Honor!” Lauren, being an only child, has grown very close to my family and especially to Kyle. Kyle is one of the few people that have known me for my entire life and as Lauren and I started dating became a reliable source of guidance and knowledge. We constantly look to him for advice and is the perfect person to be standing by our sides during the wedding.

Usher: Matthew Armbruster

Matt

I have known Matt for nearly eight years now and our friendship dates way back to move in day at Creighton. Matt and I were randomly selected to be roommates Freshman year and it has been history ever since. Matt has been my confidant and best friend since that year and has been very critical to my success during and after college. He was the first person to ever meet Lauren and the first person to give his approval. He has always been there to keep my head on straight and I certainly couldn’t image getting married without him there.

Usher: Joe David

Joe

Joe is the guy on this list that we’ve known the least amount of time however has become a great friend and companion. I met Joe through his Fiancé, Sammy, during my first year of graduate school. Joe and I have spent countless hours relaxing and watching the Jays, playing softball and of course play countless board games…most of which he wins. His friendship and companionship has been wonderful to both Lauren and I and I have no doubt that his game wins will amount to the hundreds prior to the wedding.
