When The Countdown Hits Zero…

So what do you get when you take a new job, building and home and planning a vacation? No posts since the last trip!

*cue soft laughter*

As most of you know, we’ve began a journey that was over a year and a half in the making…with its inception occurring the minute we got home from our Indonesian honeymoon. Today we set off to the land of Darwin, the Galápagos Islands. Famed in song and story and arguably ground zero of Darwin’s original theory of evolution, we will be visiting the same historic sights, the same diverse ecosystem and the same (well a few newer generations) of finches, seals, turtles and of course boobies.

In our past excursions, we’ve marveled in the vast and unique cultures of a nation that usually ends up with me trying every type of food imaginable. But this time, the culture of the trip will take a backseat to the pristine nature of this environmental cornucopia. Of course before this all happens, we have to suffer through a completely different type of experience…US air travel.

Note- due to the unique nature of this trip, I won’t be able to update you all very frequently due to the lack of internet access throughout most of the trip but will post something when we connect!
